How the club uses and stores the information you provide

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Petersfield Cricket Club ("Us") collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from members of the cricket club and users (each, a “User”) of the http://www.petersfieldcricketclub.org.uk website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Us.

It is aligned with the General Data Protection Regulation concerning protection of personal data and data security which applies from 25 May 2018.

What personal information does Petersfield Cricket Club collect about you?

Petersfield Cricket Club collects and/or processes-the following personal information about club members (and their parents / guardians if the member is under 18):

Name, date of birth, gender, doctors surgery, doctors’s name and contact details, medical information (if relevant and with parental consent where necessary), information about club membership and membership in sports bodies and associations, ability group, attendance history, emergency contact details.
Parent / legal guardian name, date of birth, and contact details, such as address, email and phone number.
Team/action photos
Player match performance statistics (via Play Cricket)
Background and criminal record checks results for club workforce, with consent.

How does Petersfield Cricket Club use club member and parent/legal guardian personal information?

Petersfield Cricket Club uses this information for the following purposes:

To operate the club and allow club members and their parents / guardians with facilities to easily register availability, view members only photos and videos, communication, billing and collection of fees, and other services they request.
In particular, we will share all non-financial member information, including medical information, with our coaches and, at matches, team managers, so that they are able to communicate with parents or guardians quickly in case of emergency and can be aware of any medical needs.
For internal club record keeping.
To comply with national and regional sports bodies’ (e.g., ECB, HCL, All Stars Cricket) registration and membership requirements.

Does Petersfield Cricket Club share your personal information with third parties?

Petersfield Cricket Club will not share personal information without consent, except:

Where it is necessary to share with a service provider, such as Play Cricket or Teamer, in order to provide members, their parents and coaches with services they have requested (e.g., to easily register availability for matches, to share match results and statistics with the league administrators);
Where it is necessary to share information about club members (including name, gender, date of birth) with other clubs, leagues or tournament bodies in order to facilitate entry of these club members to events hosted by these organisations.
Petersfield Cricket Club will share results from matches with Play Cricket in order to register results and scorecard statistics. This information will include name, gender, date of birth, and personal match performance information (i.e. scorecard information).
Where Petersfield Cricket Club has a legal obligation to disclose the information (such as responding to a court order), to protect our legal rights or to prevent fraud or illegal activity.

Web browser cookies

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. The user may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. We are constantly adding functionality to the Site to enhance usability and provide future services such as an availability database and online subs/match fee payment facilities. We have the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

Your acceptance of these terms

By becoming a member of Petersfield Cricket Club and/or using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy and terms of service. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
